Local superintendent receives provincial honour
The superintendent of the Grande Prairie Public school district has been recognized for his outstanding leadership during his seven years on the job.
Sandy McDonald was presented yesterday with the provincial EXL award for excellence in school system leadership by the College of Alberta School Superintendents during their AGM in Edmonton.
McDonald was recognized for demonstrating a strong strategic vision for using professional standards as a fundamental framework for determining student success.
He has published several national articles detailing the work the GPPSD has done in working on behalf of their students.
