County regional fire service looking for more part-time firefighters

The County Regional Fire Service is looking to add to it’s fleet of part-time firefighters at both their Clairmont and Dunes fire stations.

Interested applicants must be NFPA certified in a number of areas, including:

  • NFPA 1001 Level 1 and Level 2 certification (IFSAC and/or ProBoard)
  • NFPA 472 or 1072 Awareness and Operation certification (IFSAC and/or ProBoard)
  • Recognized Emergency Medical Responder, Medical First Responder, Advanced First Aid or higher. Valid first aid is required if you are not a registered practitioner with the Alberta College of Paramedics
  • Current level “C” CPR
  • Incident Command System 100 Certificate

They must also be at least 18 years old, and be able to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month.

They should also have at least a Grade 12 diploma, as well as a current Class 3 Alberta Driver’s Licence with air brake endorsement, and a safe driving record.

Applicants must be able to pass Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector checks, as well as medical and psychological assessments.

April 24 is the application deadline.
