GPCSD appoints new Director of Finance

Shaun Sylvain has been named the new Director of Finance with Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools.

A Chartered Professional Accountant with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sylvain will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of all accounting functions, including payroll, budgets, accounts payable and receivable, and fiscal year-ends.

He has previously served as a Service Advisor with Finning and as an accountant with Deverdenne Davis Cyr.

In a news release, the division says Sylvain’s commitment to excellence and attention to detail make him an ideal fit for this role.

In that same release, Sylvain says he is excited about the opportunity to collaborate with and lead the members of the Catholic school division to ensure the best education for their students.
