Winnipeg Jets look to build on impressive Game 1 win over Vegas Golden Knights
LAS VEGAS — Winnipeg Jets head coach Rick Bowness felt his team delivered one of its best performances of the year in a series-opening victory over the Vegas Golden Knights.
The trick now is building on that effort when the teams face off again Thursday night at T-Mobile Arena.
“Regardless of who wins that first game, getting that second one is going to be tough, same as getting the third, same with the knockout game,” Bowness said after a team practice Wednesday. “We know how tough tomorrow is going to be.”
The Jets played a tight defensive game and took advantage of their opportunities in an impressive 5-1 victory in the first-round NHL playoff series.
