Textile Tales exhibit set to open at Grande Prairie Museum
A new exhibit is set to open at the Grande Prairie Museum and the public is invited to attend an official launch for it this weekend.
“Textile Tales” showcases numerous examples of textiles through items such as blankets and jackets.
It also has a hands-on component with demonstrations on ribbon weaving, peg weaving, table loom weaving, and hand sewing.
Charles Taws, Curator at the Grande Prairie Museum, says in a news release that this exhibit highlights the cultural importance of different textiles and clothing through all aspects of life.
