Apr 25, 2023 | 5:04 PM

The Crown has finished its case n the Grande Prairie murder trial of Cody Letourneau.

The trial taking longer than expected and scheduling conflicts for counsel on both sides means the trial has been adjourned until June 12. The defence is expected to start its case at that time.

Letourneau is standing trial after being charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of 19-year-old Kyler Commandeur in a rural area off Highway 2 in June of 2020.

Simon De Lima, who has admitted to being the shooter, has pleaded guilty to a charge of first degree murder and will be sentenced May 25.
