County Fire Services responding to two vegetation fires

County of Grande Prairie Regional Fire crews are currently responding to two vegetation fires in the county, as high winds are creating difficult conditions for crews.

A blaze north of Bear Lake has brought in firefighters from across the County, and Alberta Wildfire, as well as a helicopter, who are all working to control the blaze.

The second vegetation fire, near Bezanson, is currently being monitored, as crews remain on the scene.

At this time, Fire crews would like to remind residents to only burn when necessary, ensure any permitted burn piles are fully extinguished and to not burn when winds reach or are above 12 km/hr.
