Several municipalities issue fire advisories
A fire restriction is in place in Birch Hills County. It prohibits the burning of large fuel loads like straw or brush piles.
There is a fire advisory in place for the MD of Fairview. The MD says unattended or unsafe campfires are not allowed. Things like safe wood campfires and backyard fire pits are still allowed. Controlled burns of agricultural brush piles are also allowed if the municipality is notified and a fire suppression plan is in place. Notifications can be made to the MD office during business hours.
The Town of Fairview also has a fire advisory in place. It means fires are only allowed in approved fire pits or receptacles.
The MD of Spirit River also has a fire advisory in place. Safe campfires are allowed but open burning of heavy fuels is not recommended, and officials ask that non-essential burning be postponed. This advisory applies to all areas within the boundaries of MD 133.
