UPDATE:

Since charging JJ Lenin Butler, a local school Education Assistant, (EA) on April 18 with six charges for alleged sexual assault on youths, Mounties have been continuing their investigation, which has led them to identify a third victim.

On April 26, the Grande Cache RCMP assisted by the Western Alberta District General Investigation Section, arrested and charged him with additional four offences. That includes:

  • Sexual Interference;
  • Invitation to Sexual Touching;
  • Sexual Exploitation
  • Sexual Assault

Butler was taken before a Justice of the Peace and released, with his court appearance still set for May, 4 at Grande Cache Court of Justice, where he will appear for all ten charges.

Mounties do believe there still may be additional victims and encourage those individuals to come forward.
