NWP invites first year domestic students to apply for “Welcome First” bursary

Northwestern Polytechnic is rolling out a new bursary program to first year domestic students enrolled in select programs.

A total of 32 “Welcome First” awards, valued at $2,000 each, will be available for first year students in the Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Computing Science Degree programs in Grande Prairie, or the Practical Nurse Diploma or Health Care Aide certificate programs in Fairview.

To be eligible to apply for one of these awards, a student must receive confirmed or conditional admission to one of these programs, pay their full $250 registration deposit, and register for a full course load for a minimum of two semesters.

President and CEO Justin Kohlman says in a news release that they want to support as many students as possible in coming to NWP, so they can drive the economy and region forward.

These awards are made possible through funds raised at signature NWP events such as the Northwestern Classic Golf Tournament, as well as other generous donations from the community.
