Wildfire causes evacuation south of Grovedale

Alberta Emergency Alert has issued another evacuation order, residents in the area south of Township Road 690, between Highway 40 and the BC Border., must evacuate now.

Anyone living north of Township Road 690 to the Wapiti River should also be prepared to evacuate on short notice.

Residents are being told to evacuate to Grande Prairie and bring important documents, medication, and enough food, water, and supplies to last at least three days.

Evacuees are told to check into the Bonnett’s Energy Centre located on 99 Avenue.
