“#ComittedToServe” is the theme for National Police Week, which runs until Saturday, May 20.
The campaign hosted by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, encourages increased awareness and understanding between police and the communities they serve.
This year’s theme recognizes the oath that officers take, with the duty to keep communities safe.
In a news release promoting National Police Week, the Alberta RCMP says they are committed to serving and protecting residents of this province every day, whether it is carrying out impaired driving check stops, supporting community engagement in remote communities, or upholding public safety during wildfires.
