Slave Lake toddler dies after colliding with pickup truck

A three-year-old child has died in hospital after pedestrian-motor vehicle collision Tuesday night in Slave Lake.
RCMP in the community say the mishap occurred around 7:16 p.m.
According to police, a pickup was travelling down the road when it collided at a low speed with the child, who appeared suddenly and unexpectedly in front of them.
The child was rushed to Slave Lake Healthcare Centre, where they succumbed to their injuries.
