County of Grande Prairie council meeting highlights – May 23rd

County of Grande Prairie council met on Tuesday.

Among the highlights was council awarding a total of $48,000 in cemetery improvement grants to 12 local groups from across the county.

Council also approved a pair of equipment purchases, including a 2024 John Deere 850L LGP Waste Handler Crawler Dozer from Brandt Equipment at a cost of $894,206.

Council also approved the purchase of a new RPM 217 Loader Mounted Snowblower from Industrial Machine Inc at a cost of $211,725.

And council also recognized Director of Corporate Services Carol Gabriel for receiving the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators Long Service Recognition Award. Gabriel was honoured for reaching 15 years of municipal service in a management capacity.
