Fieldhouse at County Sportsplex gets lighting upgrade

A grant from the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre has paved the way for new lighting at the Titan Fieldhouse at the Crosslink County Sportsplex.
The Recreation Energy Conservation Grant valued at $29,365, allowed the County of Grande Prairie to replace the overhead lights in the facility back in March of this year with new energy-saving lighting.
The County says the updated technology provides higher-quality light while reducing electricity consumption and carbon emissions from the facility.
The total cost of the project was $53,340. The county says it expects to see ongoing cost savings thanks to reduced energy consumption over the life span of the new fixtures.
