Four high school graduations this weekend

A busy weekend of high school graduations across the Peace region kicks off Thursday, as 165 students from St Joe’s High School in Grande Prairie will receive their diplomas.

Cap and gown ceremonies begin at noon at Bonnett’s Energy Centre.

Friday will see a total of three graduation ceremonies across the region:

136 graduates are set to receive their diplomas from St John Paul II High School, with their ceremonies beginning at noon at Bonnett’s Energy Centre.

In Fairview, St. Thomas More is graduating 17 students. There will be a special mass for the graduates Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church, followed by a formal cap and gown ceremony at 1 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

Lastly, Spirit River Regional Academy will hold their graduation ceremonies for 36 students on Friday. Ceremonies begin at 12:30 p.m. at the school gymnasium, followed by their grand march.
