Three men charged after shots fired incident in Fort St. John

Fort St. John RCMP say they have arrested three men after a shots fired incident early Tuesday morning.

Police say they got a report just before 6 a.m. BC time from the area 104A Avenue and 112 Street.

Mounties say they found shell casings in the area. Witnesses told police two men had been walking along the street when they fired the gun in the air and then ran to a home on 104A Avenue.

Ashton Shaun Schellenberg is facing charges that include possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, careless use of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing possession is unauthorized, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle and breaching a release order. He has been remanded and is due in court June 7.
