Court update: Jail time for bank robbery, guilty plea in Gift Lake stabbing death, trial dates set in Sucker Creek murder
A Grande Prairie man charged after a robbery at a downtown bank last year had pleaded guilty and has been given a four-year jail sentence.
Jeremy Tyler Winders pleaded guilty to robbery and was sentenced May 23 in Grande Prairie court.
Winders was charged after a July 20, 2022 robbery at the Scotiabank branch located at 99 Street and 100 Avenue in Grande Prairie.
RCMP said at the time at around 2 p.m. a man went into the bank, said he had explosives and demanded a large amount of money.
