PWPSD trustee recognized with provincial award

A school board trustee with the Peace Wapiti Public School District has been recognized with a provincial award.

Dana McIntosh was presented with the Public School Board of Alberta’s Special Contribution to Public Education award during the association’s Spring Assembly.

McIntosh has spent over 30 years working and volunteering with PWPSD, including almost 20 years as a school board trustee, and six years as its board chair.

She was nominated by current PWPSD Board Chair Lori Grant, who recognized McIntosh’s time as board chair, which was highlighted by leading the board through the retirement of a superintendent and the hiring of another one.
