Funeral for Richard Harpe to take place Saturday in Valhalla

A funeral service will be held in Valhalla Saturday for Richard Harpe.

An obituary posted to the website Tribute Archive says Harpe passed away June 2 in Beaverlodge at the age of 79.

That obituary says Harpe served as a County of Grande Prairie counselor for almost 30 years and was also involved with community groups in Valhalla.

The County of Grande Prairie flew its flags at half-mast in his honor.
