Baseball, football, car racing on the local sports schedule this weekend

The first weekend of racing at the Hythe Motor Speedway is set for Saturday and Sunday. Racing starts at 5 p.m. Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Mini Sprints, Run Your Junk, Starter Stocks, Elite Street Stocks, and IMCA Modifieds will all be running. Information on ticket prices can be found on the speedway’s Facebook page.

Montney League Baseball is hosting the Noah Grant Memorial Baseball Tournament this weekend in Beaverlodge. Games will start at 5 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. The full schedule can be found on the Montney League Baseball Facebook page.

The Grande Prairie U18 AA Reds are hosting Edmonton, Bonnyville, and Barrhead this weekend. They are encouraging people to Take a Kid to a Ballgame! Game times are at noon, 3, and 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m. Sunday. The Reds will be in the noon game Saturday and the 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. games on Sunday.

Wheatbelt Baseball League Sunday, the County Brewers are in High Prairie for a 1 p.m. start.
