Lemonade Day is set to return across the county

Jun 13, 2023 | 2:35 PM

Lemonade Day is returning again this year, after a successful event in 2022, which saw 953 local kids take part in raising over $12,000 for local charities.

Community Futures is excited to bring back this hands-on learning opportunity on Saturday, June 17, for the youth in northwestern Alberta.

As this program teaches kids the in’s and out’s of running a business and dealing with money while spreading positivity across the region.

All kids get to keep what they earn from the day, but the organization encourages them to save some, spend some, and share some, with many kids donating a portion to local charities.

The community is invited to go out and support the young entrepreneurs with 36 lemonade stands being set up across the County and City of Grande Prairie, with 31 in Grande Prairie, three in Wembley, and one each in Sexsmith and Beaverlodge.
