County of Grande Prairie lifts fire restrictions

All fire restrictions put in place for the County on June 14, have been lifted, that includes the towns of Beaverlodge, Wembley, and Sexsmith.

However, officials still urge residents to practice extreme caution when burning during fire season.

As of 3 p.m. Monday, June 19, residents will need permits to burn during fire season, and fires are not permitted if wind speeds reach or are forecasted to reach, 12km an hour.
