116 Avenue and 108 Street road closure

A road closure is set to take place at the intersection of 108 Street and 116 Avenue, starting Thursday, June 22.

This closure is part of an ongoing roadway safety project taking place at multiple intersections along 116 Avenue, announced earlier this month.

Throughout construction, traffic traveling on 116 Avenue won’t be able to turn north onto 108 Street, north and southbound traffic on 108 Street will be redirected at the Centre 2000 intersection.

East and westbound traffic on 116 Avenue, will continue without interruption.

During the closure, crews will begin asphalt milling operations, only re-opening the road, once they are complete.

The City said in a release, they expect this closure to only last a day.
