Laboucane wins Medicine Hat WPCA stop

A running time of 1:01.52 off Barrel 2 gave Jamie Laboucane the win in the championship final at the World Professional Chuckwagon Association stop in Medicine Hat.

The winning outriders were Hayden Motowylo and Tyson Whitehead.

Mark Sutherland finished second in the championship race after winning the aggregate. Codey McCurrach finished third. There were no penalties in the final race.

Laboucane also had the fastest time on the day, followed by Kris Molle at 1:01.69, Mark at 1:02.05 and Tuff Dreger at 1:02.27.

Mitch Sutherland had Sunday’s sixth fastest time at 1:02.68.

It will be a quick turnaround for the WPCA circuit as racing at the Ponoka Stampede will start Tuesday.
