Thunderstorm watches, heat warnings issued around the Peace

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area.

The weather office says conditions are favorable for the development of storms that can bring heavy rain, strong wind gusts, and hail.

There is also a severe thunderstorm watch and heat warning in place for the Peace River-Fairview-High Prairie-Manning forecast area.

There is also a severe thunderstorm watch out for the Whitecourt and Fox Creek areas.
