Following multiple hit-and-runs in Peace River, RCMP have made an arrest

Peace River RCMP say they received numerous reports of hit-and-runs in the community on Saturday, July 8.

As a result of all the reports, Mounties located a vehicle they believed to be responsible for the hit-and-runs. However, it fled the community and was later found stuck and abandoned in a rural location outside of Peace River.

RCMP then received some tips from the public, which brought them to a residence in Harmon Valley, where a suspect was arrested.

Twenty-nine-year-old Linden Ominayak of Little Buffalo is facing three charges, including:

  • Flight from police.
  • Dangerous driving.
  • Resisting arrest.

Ominayak has been released and has a court date set for July 31.
