Odyssey House fundraiser GrandeCon set for this weekend

“I wrestled there back in the old Stampede (Wrestling) days, maybe a couple times a year for quite a few years.”

“I have my own memory of it and I just hope there might be some fans from the old days that might remember and want to come down.”

Hart says there will always be a way to make time for the people who want to meet him.

“I appreciate my fans. I appreciate the old Stampede (Wrestling) fans that supported my dad and his wrestling for so many years.”

“You know, if you are from those days, a wrestling fan, and there are lots of them that are still left, it would be nice to reconnect in some way, even if it is just for a picture or an autograph.”

Hart says supporting a place like Odyssey House is an important cause for him.

“I think it’s one of those kind of causes that everybody can get behind. There is always going to be a need for support there. It’s just a good, positive thing to be part of and to support.”

GrandeCon will go from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Bonnetts Energy Centre.

The Walking Dead actors Michael Cudlitz, Ryan Hurst and Ross Marquand, Charmed and Scream actor Rose McGowan, Ming Chen from AMC’s Comic Book Men and actor Gigi Edgley from Farscape and Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge will also be there.

Hart is scheduled to be there on Saturday. McGowan, Edgley, Cudlitz, and Marquand are set to appear on both Saturday and Sunday. Chen and Hurst are pencilled in for all three days.
