Fire hazards rated moderate for Grande Prairie, Peace River Forest Areas

The wildfire hazard is listed as moderate in the Grande Prairie Forest Area.

It currently has 10 active fires with two being held and the rest under control. A list of active fires can be found here.

Since January 1, the Grande Prairie Forest Area has had 51 fires that have burned 141,423 hectares.

The hazard is also rated moderate in the Peace River Forest Area.

It has had 110 fires that have burned almost 20,613 hectares.

Peace River has 15 active fires. Seven of those are considered out of control.
