Peace Regional RCMP ask for public help after multiple thefts

Peace Regional RCMP is seeking surveillance footage after seven reports of thefts from vehicles on Thursday, July 27, in the same area of Peace River.

At this time, Mounties have no surveillance available and ask anyone residing in the areas of 71 Avenue, 98 Avenue, and 100 Street to contact the detachment if they have any footage or information that could be useful in the investigation.

RCMP has also provided a list of tips for residents to limit these types of thefts:

• Lock your vehicle doors
• Do not keep important documents with personal identifying information in your vehicle
• Remove all valuables
• Remove electronics and money from your vehicle
• Do not leave keys for the vehicle, your home, your work, and more in your vehicle
• Park your vehicle in lighted areas or where security cameras are present if possible
