Gold, bronze for Piranhas on Night 1 of swimming nationals

Piranhas swimmers won gold and bronze medals on the first night of finals at the Canadian Swimming Championships taking place in Toronto.

Mikayla Laurin, Oliver Dawson, Marley Monson, and Hudson Frayn teamed up to win the 4 x 100 medley mixed relay in the 13 to 15 age category, beating the silver medalists from the University of Calgary Swim Club by almost two seconds.

Jordan Greber won bronze in the 100m backstroke for 15 to 17-year-olds.

Kayla Mazurkewich 13-14yrs 100m Backstroke B final 10th

Marley Monson 13-14yrs 50m Butterfly A final 7th

Mikayla Laurin 15-17yrs 100m Backstroke A final 9th

Marissa Laurin 15-17yrs 100m Backstroke A final 6th

The competition continues through Sunday.
