Missing woman found deceased near Fort Vermillion

Fort Vermillion RCMP is reporting that 58-year-old Melinda Ruby Auger has been found deceased after being reported missing on July 27.

Human remains were found on July 28 in a wooded area near Fort Vermillion and remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to identify.

On August 3, Mounties in Fort Vermillion were notified that the human remains were those of Melinda Auger.

Her death so far has been deemed non-criminal and RCMP sends condolences to her family and friends.
