AHS Mobile Mammography Unit set to visit Worsley in September

Alberta Health Services Mobile Mammography service will be making a stop in Worsley on September 8.

The trailer will be stationed outside the Worsley Community Health Centre.

Women aged 45 to 74, the age most at risk of developing breast cancer, are invited to book an appointment by calling 1-800-667-0604.

AHS says its Screen Test program is improving access to cancer screening for thousands of women across Alberta, through a number of different initiatives including the mobile trailer.

A mammogram is still the most effective way of detecting breast cancer, with early detection allowing for a greater number of treatment options and a better chance of survival.
