ATCO says downed power line a hazard to boaters on the Peace River

ATCO Electric says a downed steel cable power line in the Peace River is posing a safety hazard to any boaters that might be on the river.

ATCO is asking boaters to stay away from the area located three kilometres downstream of Many Islands and 23 kilometres east of Silver Valley.

The power is still on for all residents.
