Stampeders win WBL title

The Peace River Stampeders are the Wheatbelt Baseball League champions.

They beat Rycroft 7-3 on their home diamond last night to complete a three-game sweep.

The series started on August 2 and was completed after several delays.

Game 1 was postponed twice by rain.

Game 2 was suspended in the sixth inning because of darkness, then postponed again because of the weather.
