Semi fire on Highway 40

UPDATE – Grande Prairie RCMP say at 5:15 a.m., a semi-truck hauling combustible materials caught fire at the intersection of Township 700 and Range Road 61A on Highway 40.

Emergency services helped extinguish the fire and traffic flow has returned in both directions. Police remain on scene.

Grande Prairie RCMP are currently on scene at a semi fire on Highway 40, in the area of Township Road 700 and Range Road 61A near Grovedale.

Traffic is being redirected due to the fire and emergency crews are working to clear the scene.
