ALERT and GP RCMP arrest suspected drug trafficker

A Grande Prairie man wanted on warrants has been arrested by the Grande Prairie Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team.

Thirty three-year-old Dextar Mikenas was arrested by ALERT and Grande Prairie RCMP on August 30 on warrants for sexual assault and interference.

A search of his motel room found multiple controlled substances including:

• 33 grams of cocaine,
• 3.3 grams of Xanax,
• 2.9 grams of an unknown substance,
• 0.5 grams of fentanyl.

The substances were seized as evidence by authorities.
