Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation RJ Sigurdson will travel to South Korea and Japan to promote Alberta’s agriculture industry and world-class agri-food products.
Officials with the Alberta government say the trade mission to South Korea and Japan will take place Sept.15-23. During the visit, Minister Sigurdson is expected to meet with agri-businesses, government officials and media to discuss investment and trade opportunities for Alberta’s agricultural industry.
“Alberta has a welcoming business climate and commitment to supplying innovative, reliable and safe agricultural products. I’m honoured to be meeting with trade and investment partners in South Korea and Japan. Connecting in person will allow us to strengthen long-standing relationships and explore new business opportunities for Alberta’s world-renowned agricultural industry,” says RJ Sigurdson, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation.
Government officials say Minister Sigurdson will be joined by two staff. They say mission expenses will be posted on the travel and expense disclosure page.
