Firearms complaint in Grimshaw, RCMP asking for community assistance

Peace Regional RCMP are investigating a firearms complaint that happened early Sunday morning in Grimshaw.

Mounties responded to the report of the incident in the area of 47 Avenue and 53 Street in that community, and evidence was found of a firearm being discharged at a residence.

Police are asking community members to review footage of their security systems, doorbell cameras, or dash cams in the area of the incident at around 6:30 a.m. on September 17.

It is believed this was an isolated and targetted event and the public is not believed to be at risk.

Peace Regional RCMP thank those for their assistance and cooperation in the investigation thus far, and are still asking those that feel they may have anything of value to the investigation to contact the detachment at 780-624-66111 or your local police.
