Dakota Buttar wins PBR Cup Series event in Grande Prairie

The seventh PBR Canada Cup Series event wrapped up in Grande Prairie on Sunday afternoon.

Eatonia, Saskatchewan’s Dakota Buttar won the series after perfect 3-for-3 rides.

Buttar now sits first in the 2023 PBR Canada National Standings with 614.50 points, 10.84 points ahead of Cody Coverchuk from Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan.

Peace region cowboys; Cole Young of Fairview sits 41st and Jake Gardner of Fort St John, B.C. sits 17th in PBR Canada National Standings following the weekend. Both cowboys didn’t have qualifying rides either day.
