Evergreen Park campground receives new local naming rights

A locally owned RV service and repair company will be taking over the naming rights for the campground at Evergreen Park.

The former McGovern’s RV & Marine Campground will now go by “Neil’s RV Campground @ Evergreen Park,” as local entrepreneur couple Neil and Jenn Dawe have purchased the rights for five years.

Neil said in the release, “We feel it will be a good fit with our business model of progressing the camping lifestyle, and encouraging more people to experience the outdoors.”

Before re-opening in the spring, the campground will undergo some changes, with Neil and Jenn wanting to host more social days. This is meant to encourage people to get out and meet their neighbours, through a number of activities, such as pot-lucks, poker rallies, chili cook-offs and more.

Neil’s RV is also deliberating running seminars around RVs, like proper care methods, or how-to sessions on winterizing or storage.

The campground managers, Owen Terry and his wife Velma are very excited to have the Neils as a sponsor, saying in the release they already appreciate the hands-on approach Neil is showing, “The Dawes’ enthusiasm and approach about campground sponsorship will help make Neil’s RV Campground @ Evergreen Park a place any camper wants to visit.”

The new signage and logos will be put up soon.
