County of Grande Prairie organizing well workshop in November

County of Grande Prairie is inviting residents to attend a water well management workshop, next month.

The workshop is presented by the Working Well program with expertise provided by Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation, Alberta Environment and Protected Areas, and licensed water drillers to cover everything you will need to install and maintain a working well.

Topics covered include:

• Understanding groundwater
• How your well works.
• Finding and understanding your drilling report
• How to “draw your well”
• Water well problems
• Top ten well-enemies
• Shock chlorinating your well.
• Taking and testing water samples
