Manning RCMP, Peace River RCMP, and High Level Police Dog Services have located and arrested a man for theft related cases across northwestern Alberta.

Thanks to the help of the public for identifying a suspect in a late September attempted vehicle and fuel theft in Manning, police were able to locate and arrest 27-year-old Jarrett Michael Ducharme of Fort Vermillion in Keg River.

Ducharme was arrested on his original nine charges of:

  • Possession of stolen property (x3)
  • Theft of fuel (x2)
  • Attempted theft of a motor vehicle
  • Forgery
  • Uttering a forged document
  • Operating a motor vehicle without insurance

He was also charged on four counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 for three counts in Manning and one in High Level, as well as criminal flight from police out of High Level.

Ducharme was also at large at the time of his arrest on a release order for failing to appear in Peace River court, which resulted in an additional two warrants being executed by Mounties.

He was brought before a justice of the peace and was released with conditions. Ducharme is scheduled to appear in court in High Level on October 23, and on October 30 and January 3, 2024 in Peace River.
