Monk said in a release, that he has been studying hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) for decades and started his journey as an author when he took medicine to reduce his rapid-eye-movement sleep, (REM) as he was a lucid dreamer.

Monk plans on writing his next title about the four and half year journey in dream recovery, following a traumatic brain incident (TBI), other serious injuries, or waking up from a coma.
