Fairview Health Complex ED without a doctor for 24 hours

The Fairview Health Complex ED will be without a Doctor for 24 hours starting on Monday, October 23, at 7 a.m.

At this time, coverage can still be found, as AHS says it is working to ensure residents have the care they need, in their communities.

AHS says anyone with a medical emergency is still asked to call 911, as EMS will re-routing calls to neighboring community hospitals.

Nursing staff will remain in the ED, to provide urgent triage assessments and referrals to other healthcare facilities.

Residents are also being reminded about services available through local pharmacies and to call Healthlink at 811, with any non-emergency medical questions.

This closure marks the eighth time a local ED has been without a doctor, since September.
