RCMP asking for dash cam or surveillance footage of collision in Peace River

The Peace Regional RCMP is asking for anyone with footage of a motor vehicle collision in Peace River on October 13, 2023, in the areas of 101 Avenue, 105 Avenue, and 99 Street.

Between approximately 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., the RCMP got numerous calls of erratic driving, collisions, and risks to pedestrian safety involving a white 1998 Dodge Durango.

The vehicle ended up going over an embankment, where it eventually came to rest. The driver was located safely and was transported to a hospital with help from EMS and the Peace River Fire Department.

Mounties are asking community members to review their security footage of any kind from that day and contact the Peace Regional detachment at 780-624-6611, if you believe your footage adds anything of value for their investigation.

Police say even seeing the direction of travel, speed, or clips of collisions occurring at a distance or different angles with already known evidence, could potentially advance the file.
