Local organizations named Rural Communities Foundation grant winners

The recipients for the 2023 Rural Communities Foundation grant program included two Peace Region organizations.

The Cotillion Butte Recreation Association was awarded $32,000 to complete construction on a new Cotillion Hall that will be more energy efficient and serve as a venue for various local, and community events.

The Wembley and District Agricultural Society was awarded $25,000 to install 700 sq. ft. of flooring at the Wembley Recreation Centre, to be used for various sporting events like basketball and volleyball.

The RCF allocated a total of $100,000 to four organizations as part of this year’s granting program.
