Alert Ready to conduct emergency notice test November 15

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The date has been set for the next test of a nationwide alert system.

Alert Ready is Canada’s national public alerting system, which notifies residents of emergencies and disasters. The next test of the system will take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

The test is scheduled to occur at 1:55 p.m. local time in Alberta. Tests will also occur in all other provinces and territories across the country. Below is a list of times when the test will be conducted:

  • British Columbia: 1:55 PM PST
  • Manitoba: 1:55 PM CST
  • New Brunswick: 10:55 AM AST
  • Newfoundland & Labrador: 10:55 AM NST
  • Northwest Territories: 1:55 PM MST
  • Nova Scotia: 1:55 PM AST
  • Nunavut: 2:00 PM EST
  • Ontario: 12:55 PM EST
  • Prince Edward Island: 12:55 PM AST
  • Quebec: 1:55 PM EST
  • Saskatchewan: 1:55 PM CST
  • Yukon: 1:55 PM MST
