Slave Lake RCMP investigate non-suspicious death

Police in Slave Lake are investigating what they call a non-suspicious death.

At approximately 5:50 a.m.Monday (December 4) RCMP were called to a medical assist on 6 Avenue in Slave Lake.

They found a deceased 61-year-old male in what police described as a self-made shelter.

There was fire damage inside the shelter.

A Lesser Slave Lake Regional Fire Services fire investigator was dispatched to the scene.

RCMP say the death does not appear suspicious and they will continue to work closely with the fire investigators.

They are offering condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.
