Chamber names new executive members, gives out awards, at AGM

Realtor Cord Spearo is the new chair of the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce.

He was named to the post by acclimation at the organization’s recent annual general meeting.

Jon Anderson was named chair-elect, Lori Pollock vice-chair and Cindy Park will serve as past chair. They were also elected by acclimation.

The Chamber also thanked Tertius Genis, Pamela Nordin and Karci Wallan who all finished their terms on the board.

The three new board members are Danielle Hessler, Jennifer Ireson and Shane Mudryk.

Jason Howrish and Laura LaValley were re-elected to the board.

Mariah Braun, Cliff Headon, Dan Stojanovic, and Barry Yaehne will also continue serving their terms on the board.

The chamber also gave out three awards.

Ken Sargent GMC-Buick and Sean Sargent Toyota were given the Dan H. Milchen Award for Long-Term Member Business Achievement.

Alison Gustafson was named the Business Citizen of the Year and Dan Wong was given the Clem E. Collins Award for Chamber Volunteerism.
